King Arthur (2004) - Bors' final battle armor and stunt battle knives
"RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!"
This spectacular armour was made by the legendary Terry English and worn by the memorable Ray Winstone during the movie King Arthur.
This style features in the final scenes when the Romans make their stand against the invading Saxon warriors and an epic battle ensues between the Romans and Woads against the Saxons. The main body armour is composed of various metal segments fastened together with leather straps, and extends from the shoulders to the elbows to make one easily wearable piece, slightly stained with prop blood from the battle. Fixed below are a set of matching protective leather skirts made from durable vinyl. Also included are his metal greaves that are decorated with the same shapes as the chest and secured with leather straps and metal buckles, durable vinyl gauntlets decorated to look like leather and metal with light chainmail patches over the hands.
Finally, underneath the impressing armour is a light grey cotton tunic marked Bors on an Academy Costumes label and a pair of leather trousers that are made from a patchwork of leather and straps, marked Ray Winston inside. Both garments are in a well-used condition with the trouser still spattered with mud at the ankles and a tear in the crotch.
Every element in the set is labelled with either Bors or Ray Winstone all of which are in excellent production used condition with much evidence of use on set, and have no sizes marked as they were custom made for the actor.
Bors' signature knuckle knives are stunt versions, with one being made from resin and leather and the other of dense foam and leather. They measure approximately 16" long.
The armor and the weapons have COAs from Propstore.
